Universal  Language  and  Computer  Institute  (ULCI)  was  established  in1984 as one of the first language and computer institutes in the nation. In early 1990s, ULCI expanded its services to the field of test preparationand educational consultancy and was one of the pioneering institutions in  this  sector.  Over  the  years,  ULCI  also  expanded  its  services  to international examination administration. Today, ULCI is one of Nepal’s largest education  services  providers  offering English  Language  courses and test preparation courses in TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, IELTS Life Skills and OET. ULCI is also the largest private international examination administrator in the country and is the authorized examination centre  for  TOEFL,  GRE,  OET,  Japan  Foundation  Examinations,  LangCert,  Vocational  English Certificate Examinations, and University of Cambridge English Assessment. ULCI works with over 30 schools in Nepal to implement University of Cambridge English Assessment Programs in the school curriculum and organize specialized international cultural immersion programs for middle school and high school students.

 

About the CEO:

Mr. Uttam Prasad Pant is the Founder CEO of Universal Language andComputer Institute  (ULCI), one of Nepal’s oldest and most reputableeducation service providers. He is widely credited  for pioneering the
field of Computer and English language education and the EducationConsultancy sector in Nepal.  He currently serves as the President ofthe  Association  of  British  Alumni  in  Nepal  (ABAN).  He  has  provided
leadership  to  education  industry  in  Nepal  in  the  capacities  of  thePresident of Education Consultants Association of Nepal  (ECAN) and the  President  of  IERIN  (International  Education Representatives'Initiative of Nepal). He is also the founding member of Nepal English Language Teacher’s Association and Computer Association of Nepal. Besides  his  contributions  in education,  he  has  undertaken an  active research interest in  studying  the life and contributions of Yogmaya and has published a book titled  ‘Yogmayadham’,  detailing  his  findings  on  the  role  of  Swami  Prem  Narayan  and  other disciples of Yogmaya in her movement. He holds a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree fromTribhuvan University, Nepal and a Certificate in Management Consulting  from  the Institute ofManagement Consulting, UK.
